Dr. Smith came to the United States in 2012 after marrying her husband; she is originally from San Jose, Costa Rica. She and her husband made New Orleans their home and have been building their family for the last ten years. They have three children together; Oliver, Emme and Julian to whom they dedicate most of their time. They enjoy traveling as a family and sharing time with loved ones. During vacation time you can find them enjoying the warm weather in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
Dr. Smith likes to sit down with each patient and reinforce methods to prevent further oral and periodontal disease. She likes to explain to the patient the many different treatment options using the most up to date diagnostic tools available and then provide the best treatment to suit that patient’s individual needs. Her first choice is always saving natural teeth, but, if that is not possible, she will always present the most modern alternatives available for her patient.
